I'd have to check with the event organizer Marcus but I can not see why not if it has all appropriate braces and stays and is not damaged in anyway (dints in tube from rubbing trees/rocks) but all of that applies to internal cages as well.

Are you thinking of coming up for a steer Rockcrawler?

I also hear rumours that the crew at DirtsprintZ are stepping up their media efforts with a DirtsprintZ section on a soon to be released ORP DVD! And much much more!

Hope you guys are as excited as I am!!

is there any issue with running a 2wd? website said it is aimed around 4wd vehicles, are there different classes?

What sort of 2wd are we talking Nick.
I don't think the organizers would have any issue with a 2wd that meets all safety requirements.
The problem will come with most 2wds will not have enough clearance for some gullys, etc.
Don't get me wrong you could use 2wd in a 4B and go everywhere, but a commodore would drag it's guts on most of the track!!!

Also I asked about Exo Cages and there's no issue with them as long as they meet all the rules.
Rules and regs are up on the Internet under nominations.
It sets out all the cage info plus other info that entrants need to know!

Gonna be good!
Got some promo girls and a few other little bits lined up to keep everyone cranked up!!

some events i have seen, the class is stated as "diesel 4x4" or "petrol 4x4" therefore the vehicle must be 4x4 to compete. i wont be competing at this event but do hope to make some of the ones next year.

Wow what a day ! Everyone who has a go at this will have a smile from ear to ear as I did today helping with the promo crew! This is a awsome outlay very flowing and very quick in some areas I know the first lap on race day is definatley going to be sighting the track and getting the mind right !! Well done to the cartel crew and project fmx for making it all happen and in a professional manner ! It's going to be awsome so everyone get there trucks ready for this one!

Mosko you cheeky little Barst....

I can confirm that the track was a little easier than first anticipated and the likelyness of having to use a winch on the day is reasonably low.... :finger:

Man! What an awesome day hanging out with the crew!
We had a heap of funny buggers out there on Sunday just to make the video work that much more entertaining!

It was awesome to have some fresh faces have a steer with the OG Cartel Crew guys too!
I'm positive that they all had a ball and that a few more Nominations will be getting scribbled this week!

I will post a list of nominated drivers Friday night as that is the end of EarlyBird Noms!
We've got a good list of Noms already, with more than a few rigs doing double duty for 2 drivers!

The media crew have been working triple time to get the Media Release finished and their in the process of doing the final touches and voice overs - it will be up on the DirtsprintZ page as soon as it's available!

I had such a unreal day thrashing my Jeep around the track!
Can't wait to see everyones goofy grins on Nov.20!

Would have been a fair bit of action from Sunday captured on film!! Would be hard choosing the best stuff as everyone driving on the day was giving it a red hot go

Yeah mate.
The OffroadPromotions crew will be up filming so we've had quite a bit of interest from a few Exhibition Class rigs to come up for some 'off season' practice.

Hopefully they all make the trip to Rocky!

Plus we've had interest from other competitors but no nomination forms yet??!!

Come on guys! Grab the keys to your comp rig and get some fun time!!

Great to see, the noms flowing in. Our Petrol Mod class looks to have some rigs, with big HP.
This should be a great to watch as well with some of the bigger Offroad Racing names coming to have a play.

Trophies have been ordered today... Once you see them I'm sure the competition is going to go up a level, cause I'm sure everyone is going to be going for the overal trophy... Just so long as Billy Geddes don't win it cause it would be hard for him to drink out of a trophy taller than him, hehe

I have it on good authority there will be an infamous white 80 entering for standard petrol. And by authority i mean with the heckling that would be induced would make most grown men cry :D . All it needs is for the cage to turn up and a quick rev tune

Also is there a prize for best dressed team?

Mate without talking to the rest off the crew you will need atleast one net for the drivers side. I my self would be worried if perspex was hit hard enough it would break and work like a knife. On the navi side you could possibly get away with a wrist band attached to seatbelt so hand can`t get out window. And Digsy you know somthing like that wouldn`t stop me from getting a beer..But seriously window nets are a easy fix cause thay are cheap and without looking how your perspex is fitted there are some, how do I say it(small puddles of water) beside the track and windows up would be a very bad idea if you ended up in one upside down miss jane.Hope that helps Billy.

12 days to go people, and the biggest race CQ will ever see is about to get underway, and yet there is no chatter? i thought a lot more talk would have been happenning, bit of race stratagies, bit of smack, bit of 'ive got 100 bucks on swaf to take out overall and 200 on him to take out deisel' who else has nomed since digsy posted the list must be a few more willing to race....
