If you mean a video camera that's an afirmative... But I don't have a still digital. Only an old fashioned one where you have to get the film developed and then you get copies of the photos on paper... Dont know how they managed in the olden days doing all that....

I have a digital stills camera that I can bring.

As long as this trip isnt all just dirt roads, I dont mind doing short technical bits but am not keen to drive just on dirt roads all day.... whats the go on this?

Just as long as everyone is keen to do some good stuff. Just checking that we arent just driving from Newnes to Zig Zag... thats all.

Nah everyone's keen for the good stuff....

i'm relying on you croz to pick out the best tracks for us.

Hmmm, ok then. Where are we meeting? I am not familliar with the other end as much, most of the driving I have done has been from the entry at Zig Zag and into the mines and then the powerlines.

The other good bits were the rocks at the lost city but they were closed last time I went there.

Then there is the driving in Lisdale, there is some real fun there if we don't get satisfied in Newnes. It only takes ten or so to get there through Portland, if we are at the end of Blackfellows Hand Trail.

Am I in the right areas?

Well i was thinking of starting out at ben bullen and working our way through to lisdale. theres a few steep sections there but nothing too hard. But where it comes out near lisdale was some serious mud last time i was there. then from there we can go wherever you want.

thinking of meeting near lithgow somehwere.....probably fairly early.

Sweet, sounds like a plan.

How early? and where... might be a good idea to either meet somewhere we can get coffe and fuel etc...

Dont forget we are coming from Syd and surrounds, so there is a bit of travelling before.

I suggest we meet at Maccas Lithgow for 3 reasons...

1. I know where it is.
2. It's warm.
3. I can fill up the thirsty one before heading off.

As for a time... no earlier than 8am as it's my birthday on the 17th and I intend on getting shitfaced on Sat night.

Have started looking for a 2 inch suspension lift kit and bull bar for the trip.   And maybe even some new tyres. Will have to claim them as birthday presents.

See how I go... ;)

hey i was doing a bit of practice before our trip and i've had my first brakage.....

i came down a near vertical bank which someone had built to stop us getting in our spot. As the back hit i broke the rear left brake and singnal light. i also ripped off the shroud going round the rear side of my fez. Then i also crushed in the end of my exhaust.....

nothing that cant be fixed short term but i just hope my wife doesnt find out.....

wanted to fix them today but it's raining......

hey check out my lift post i've put some details of a qutoe in there for a two inch lift.

did a reccy on some of our planned track over the weekend. I also took some pix of the swampy area that i'm looking forward to going through. It's not all that long but on one side it's all mud and on the other there is still water covering more thick mud. I'm sure most guys will get through it but it'll be fun all the same.

heres some pix of it.
