This is all good and im not knocking you for trying.
But people have questions and if you cant answer them then dont come here telling people you have a better product but not be able to answer them as to why its better.
So it has a neumatic Air Ram. What stops this from developing seal problems? I have seen Air rams fail 100's of times in much better environments than under a 4wd covered in dirt, mud and oil.
Where is the Air ram mounted? How is it protected from damage?
the pneumatic air ram is mounted to the diff carrier bearing bolts . on the inside of diff centre ...
if the seals happened to fail .. all you need to do is remove the diff centre
undo 2 bolts + air line .. and the air ram can be removed .
but if u have a arb set up . u have 2 o-ring on the end of the carrier bearing and you also have interal seal . to replace the seals on a arb locker . u have to split the whole locker to fit new seals .
i know 4x4 shops that have fitted new seals to a arb locker and it still leaked . the way arb iner seal is located . some people who have tryed to replace it have scratched the steel .. and witha new seal it leaks worst than before .... but with a LC 4X4 LOCKER the pneumatic air ram is made for industeral use in oil . in the air ram is a spring that holds it in the unlocked mode . and when it is in the locked mode it assists in faster unlocking .... ..
when u have a locker in the front it is imporant to be able to unlock it , to beable to turn . (that why i developed a locker that unlocks faster.)
if the locker stays locked after being turned off . you will increase the chances of breakin cv joints - axels etc .
i don't have any photos at the point in time . but when i do i will do my best to show you all .

Actually sounds like a more user/service friendly idea to me.I could be wrong though. I am intrested but like the rest woulkd like to see pictures and specs. As im new to the forum i dont know the history of people flogging off there products here,but would like to ask were can i inspect one of these fine beauties.
As for the engine mount breaky thing, Just use some chain to limit the engine's movement`s.thats how alot of big hp streeters keep the engine still sitting in their car.

but with a heaver spring ....

Why didnt someone just ring up and ask for some details? Folks on forums are so quick to jump down peoples throats when they make a claim.
Fair enough the guy is probably full of shit but you wouldn't think he would blatantly lie to a legit customer over the phone. If you were actually interested in the product im sure a phone call wouldnt be too much trouble. Businesses get sick of dealing with people asking for pics for email, 99% of them are dreaming time wasters. I should know, im probably one of them!

As others have already said, most mechanics, especailly the old school ones havnt exactly made the transission onto the internet smoothly. The guy might be able to post on a forum but capturing pics with a digi cam and uploading is a little more complicated...
Your right though, a few pics would save alot of trouble as he has made some fairly outrageous unsubstantiated claims. Still the internet forums are full of time wasters and I cant say proving myself right to internet geeks is right up there on my list of things to do, especially if I ran a small business.

There are privately made bb lockers here in NZ that ARE used by most competitors in trials, some winch challenge trucks - excellent for use in the front as they unlock almost instantly, even under full lock.full ,load.
Cost a bit less than ARB. I've had one in my truck for over a year now - beats the ARB hands down.
For trials use they're being replaced now with hydralically operated LSD (can increase pressure to lock) but these are not an option for a 'regular use' truck due to mainenance issues.

ARB has done me well for years. well done to the guru for trying but im still Fitting ARB's no matter what. if its 100% stronger its only going to bust something else!

the carrier has holes in it.
a stepped sleeve goes over one end of the carrier, linked to an selector fork, operated by an external air cylinder.
operate - air to cyl, moves fork, moves sleeve.
ballbearings (sitting in holes in carrier) are pushed into holes in side gear
diff locks.
disengage, opposite ari to cyl, sleeve pulls back, bbs come out of holes in side gear
diff is unlocked.
fitting involves a bit of fab work to mount the fork on the diff housing.
because the ballbearings are round, they pop out under load, unlike a spline based locker where normally they will only disengage when there is no torque difference between the axles.
