Yeah take it seriously will you BRT! Look forward to meeting you on the tracks.
No 33s sorry Possum hunter just the 35s. But I have put in the word with the design team in Malaysia. Don't hold your breath though...consider the Sports (pic a few posts up thanks to BRT) they are still an awesome tyre and very well priced. I have been running the sports for three years and still have the original check set I was sent to test for the Aussie market...70,000kms...worn but that is a good innings for a high void tyre like that.

How about a set for the Navrun official to set up a NavNite with- now that would be testing them!!!!

Guys,
I've been trying to track down somewhere that I can get hold of MT-117 Sports - Who in Qld stocks them - or wholesales them so I can get my tyre guy to get them. They're supposed to be handled by one tyre place up here ( who shall remain nameless ) but they don't seem to know their ar$e from their elbow. It ticked me off so much I gave up.
I'm in Cairns

Someone made a little mistake last night...exclusive sales of the first shipment of the Silverstone Xtremes (35x11x16) for Vic, will be through Brawn 4x4 in Dandenong 03 9798 8522.
Brawn secured this weeks ago with the Vic importer and I personally secured it with the only employee of Silvertsone in Australia (the Australasian manager).
They will be on the Brawn stand at the National 4x4 show.

That's all well and good for victorians but WHO ARE THE DISTRIBUTORS/RETAILERS IN QLD AND NSW???

For QLD give Alan Stean a call at the Z Car Workshop.
He is a dealer for Silverstone - does a lot of rally tyres.
Top bloke, if he does not have them I am sure he can help.

The sports look pretty great as well .. but I am still keen to get hold of an old set of MT117's .. I still think that they would make a brilliant alll round tyre with some of the centre tread removed ...

Austyre at Ashmore had them (I think they were the early ones??) when I was buying my tyres there. Give Brett (Rolly from here) a call there (07) 55970099 and see what he can do.

What are you doing with that Lockee? That is the old non dot approved carcass...the later 117s, labelled 285/85 R16 have full European coding.
But with sipping that is an awesome off road tyre! Someone make him an offer...and I will organise a deal on the rest either brand new or second hand.

I use to run them incluiding in the 1999 Ateco on my 90 inch Hybrid Rover. Was the spare tyre and never needed to be used.
Is about a 35.5 x 11.5 16 Bias Tyre.

Back to the origional question... I think you will find a set of Silverstone mt117 (from memory, about 34" on 16" rims) at Barham Tyre Service. For those who don't know where Barham is, it's in S/W NSW, on Murray River. Between Swan Hill and Echuca. Rob's the owner of the store, was talking about $200.
If you would like to know more, phone numbers or prices, let me know or give Rob a call.
