just because one is coil-over doesn't mean that the springs wont fit, i agree that the shock's would be differant, but i'm sure the springs are the same.
the only reason i'm saying this is because i have a magazine artical from NZ where a chap used an OME lift (could have been just the springs) on a Jimny that was for a coily, the mag was also supprised that the kit was an OME.

just curious.

i jimny fronts and coily fronts are different, jimny fronts are more like coily rears
coily fronts are narrow like a long trave coil over

HI does any1 hav a pic of how the top link looks and where does it attach
i am having the same problems ove here in NZ with the bendy trailing arms and there seems to be a complete shortage of 2nd hand replacements :(
does any1 know if the jimny rear trailing arm is the same as a coily as that might widen the search to get a 2nd hand 1 before i can get something better made up
cheers

yeah jimny run the same control arms

i think your best option would be to go to a boilermaker or some fabrocator and get them to put some flat bar above and bellow.

make sure they heat your arms up before they start welding

Hi HRZook
thanks those pics are great :)
mine are pretty stuffed so not likely to fix as they are so am most likely going to fab up som similar to standard just from steel plate rather than cast

RBZook how is the top link attached to the zook dif is it a weld on mod ?? and how long is the top link ive been told they have to be a similar lenght to the lower links ?????

thanks heaps to u both
cheers
Gareth

hopefully added pic of me in action before i bent trailing arm..... enjoy

They are strong but I would not bother with the twisty action

They cost me some hard labour doing some tree work but the fab shop estimated around $250 an arm but that is with the twister action, the thread was expensive to get cut. I can give you dimensions if you would like.

HRZook those dimensions would be great :)
would make my life way easier when fabbing the new arms !!
cheers
