the theory is quite simple actually. Apply hydaulic pressure to the clutch pack, voila- instant lock. Machining the hemispeher ( maybe) and fabbing a bearing carrier with a hydraulic mechanism would be all thats needed
would be great for the front , you could stage the pressure for turning and CV conservation.

Actually when Under load, you might hit the buton, but I think you'll find the locker stays engaged untill the load lessens enough o allow it to disengage....
Agreed, just modulate throttle.

I have, many times, Releaseable locker for me thanks, esp on down hills and when slippy...........

Can't fault mechanicals.
However most of the airlockers I've seen tend to shite themselves all the time.

one of those hydraulic lsd's in the front of a patrol would be awesome. anyone kno anymore about them?
