You just run the wires into the positive and out the negative of the cig lighter. The cig lighter no longer works then though. So by having the lighter pushed in it completes the circut.

I taped into the motor on the side of the engine that cotrols weather fuel flows to the motor or not. (No idea whats its called) You just have to find the right wire. There is 4 or 5 to choose from.

Hope this makes sense.

Other stupid ideas

If petrol: Run some fine wires thru ya car seat cover and connect to the coil with switch on dash.

Leve switch turned on when you leave car. Upon dude knocking off with ya car, he gets totally zapped.
Or a battery powered electric fence kit connected to the body (of course, no good if the body is fibreglass)

The best anti theft device i have seen was cheap and easy to make 3/8 hi tensile chain in a plastic sleeve thru the steering wheel with a big paddlock onto a bracket around the brake pedal ha ha no steering no brakes and if its a petrol a simple toggle switch either to the starter wire or the coil when u got more then one who knows which one to flick?????
If u got a diesel most of the modern ones have a fuel cut solenoid even easier.

On my old 80series diesel I purchased another sub tank switch and installed that in the dash. Then wired it into the fuel relay.Dash looked standard apart from 2 sub swithches.

simple and easy is hide a toggle switch in the cab that swithes the ignition from within the engine bay. if a thief cant hotwire it from inside they will cut their losses rather than popping the bonnet to try and find the problem. (more time spent means more chance of getting caught)
