100db -thats a nice volume. I find that really interesting as your v8 sounds lower then that for the same volume. It goes to show [to me] that the lower v8 rumble is nicer and softer to listen too than high revving smaller 4cyl engines [such as what i've got] when at the same db counts. Nice one mate i'd love to listen to it in person rather than on video. Shame i'm not your neighbour!RoeDao wrote:it got to 100db during one rev when i actually took it up to 3,500rpm i'm allowed 90. It's averaged over 4 tests. But it was windy..... and the engineer said that it could have been a factor in the high reading as well. It's even a little louder now than it is in that video. The muffler takes a few weeks to settle properly.harvey wrote:it does sound nice but i genuinely can't believe the engineering folk classify that as a bit loud. if that's loud my little machine will never be road legal back home. what was the decibel count when they tested it? I'd be interested to know.
ps: i want one now!
