Never seen a diesel WRX.... Also I think you have the wrong type of 4wd forum.

Date has been set to the Saturday 24th March. Starting at 9am and finishing roughly around 3pm. Approx 20-25 car spots.

Costs are $50, prebookings can be done to ensure a definate time slot, no pay no dyno. This gets you 3 power runs and a speedo accuracy report, drivers can sit in the passenger seat when the vehicle is being run up if necessary.

Refreshments available, including bbq and cold drinks, all profits from this go to the rch good friday appeal.

This dyno day is an open day for us, showing what we can to the diesel vehicle, more about seeing what people have, what mods they have done and being able to make comparisons, not really a horsepower heroes day. In the end someone has to have the highest figure. All figures will be tabled and on display on the day and also on here.

A disclaimer form has to be signed, any vehicle can go on, but we are really looking at the 4wd guys and girls. To make it fair on everyone, any vehicle that is trailered will not be in the running for any prizes.

All owners are responsible for making sure cars are fit to run on the dyno, ie oil and water levels, good tyres and at correct pressure.

Prizes will be announced soon, as well as some display vehicles.

Poor behaviour will not be tolerated.

Thanks

Andy

You can call me during work hours on 03 9739 5031, ask for Andy. The time allocation will be 1st come 1st to choose. Payment can be made on the day cash or card, prepaid over the phone, by direct deposit or come in and see us at Factory 10 East court, Lilydale industrial park, 38e2 is the Melways. We accept cheques, but they must clear before the dyno day.

We have a disclaimer form almost ready, this hopefully will be downloadable from our website very soon. This must be signed and produced on the day. Forms will be also available on the day.

You can use any tyres you wish. Road going tyres do require less power to drive them than chunky off road tyres.

Any further questions please ask here all call me.

Thanks

Andy

Well no one has made a pre booking as such, just a lot of yes Ill be there. Its going ahead even if 3 people show up.

There will be 4 awards, highest power petrol and diesel, lowest power of all and a Diesel-Tec award for the most intriguing vehicle.

We will have a few vehicles on display, including a ball bearing upgraded td42t ute. Hopeing to have my shorty with a set of twins up and running by the day.

Im loooking forward to meeting some faces and seeing what other people have done to their vehicles. Should make for an interesting day.

Any questions please call or pm me.

Thanks

Thought I would give this a little bump with 200.6 rwkw patrol we did last week. It was detuned to 163rwkw after we ran these figures.

I am working like mad to have my shorty patrol with a set of twins on and running by saturday.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Thanks

Andy

PS can anyone host another dyno sheet for me?[/img]

Well I was a little disapointed at lack of numbers to show for dyno runs, but considering we had lot of rain friday night and saturday morning, most seem to be out with their toys in the mud.

We had a total of 5 cars go on the dyno.

Wally and his 80 series big block ute was there at 9am ready to go. I then put my shorty on while waiting but kept on blowing boost hoses off. Travis came with his gq and then followed by Stephen and his gq. Quite a few spectators looking at our display cars which included last years outback winner, Rohan Canavans 6l supercharged gq. Rohan was kind enough to leave me the keys and say if I wanted to run it up, then I can. Well it did get run up, its a torque monster.

There isnt a unique prize as all vehicles had something different, but all 3 people will receive the following prize of follow up dyno runs valid for a year from the dyno day date. This is to allow them to test any mods they have done since their runs. 3 runs are available free of charge (normal value $88).

Wally made 172.5 rwkw and 475.7 nm torque.
Stephen 93.8 and 398.9.
Travis 91.4 and 364.7.
Dieseltec 177 and 854.

More to follow with this. It now has a boost level between 48-55psi.

To everyone who came thankyou very much, another will be planned later this year, unless a club would like to hold a day.

Thanks

Andy

Surprisingly not as much as i thought it would. Pretty sure it runs an auto box etc so some losses there. Was good to watch thou! ;)

After telling Rohan that we ran his car he asked what it pulled and what boost it ran. It was down on boost pressure from a pevious dyno session on the same brand dyno. It made 155rwkw with 37" tyres on our, it its a manual.

It did say it dynoed a lot higher.
