Interesting, thanks. Could there be other factors in a bench test which also show a higher than installed injection quantity? Like supply pressure or lever stroke? I was thinking a fixed volume pump should still pump similar volumes with each squirt, just the pressure would be higher with more restrictive nozzles. I guess higher pressures will also give more expansion in the injection lines which will reduce injected volumes a little.

Yeah it's unbelievable the difference in flow for eg: cummins 6bt ve rotary in a case dozer
These are tested with by memory 027 orifice plate injectors and if you use 12sd12 test injectors
There will be a massive difference in fueling I think it was 20-30 cc's difference and the cummins
Runs a multi hole nozzle aswell . I will be flowing a Toyota 1hffte twin spring multi hole injector
Against a 12sd12 test injector also it will be nice to see fuel flow at the nozzle which will be very close
To actual BSFC the only other variant could be the diesel vs calibration fluid and the test line to the injector
Which can also make a fair difference
