I did the logan challenge a few times about 12-13 years ago. Best bit I can remember was a suzi rolling almost over the top of us. (No one hurt - but gees it was spectacular) I was with Mike Taylor (Gold Coast 4WD Club) in his green troopie. What a blast. I've been in Melbourne (Sth Pole) since then - good to see the event still going strong.

Thanks Steve. It's a great event, and we plan on it staying part of the QLD events calender for a long time yet. Be great to see a Vic team come up some time. (hint, hint) hahaha.
Jeez, Mike Taylor. Now there's a name I haven't heard for a LONG time!! Mike was also a Logan Club member for a long time. Haven't seen or heard from him for probably 5 years now. Great bloke, and his forestry runs were legendary.
I think it might be a good thing but reckon it should have been a 35"tyre limit and make the tracks easier to encourage the clubbies and daily drivers to have a go.
The 3 car team should make it easier to get the numbers back up that they will lose due to the tyre size limit.
Like most others i won't be buying a set of 36" tyres for this event but applaud the Logan Club for making it easier for people to get into the competition scene.

They did that last year mate.
Nothing new at all. Something that should have happened years ago.
