What other bucket seats will fit 1983 Troopy.

Post by drifter »

As the title says, what front bucket seats from which other vehicle will relatively easily fit in an '83 HJ47 Troopy to replace the originals. I want to end up with 2 normal bucket seats & do away with the 1 1/2 passenger seat to make way for a between seat console

I know I can just go to the wreckers & measure up the rails on different seats, but I'm not close to any wreckers & I thought someone here would know.

Would prefably like to use the existing rails if possible, but after measuring the rail centre widths on my Commodore I think I might have to make up RHS frames to bolt between the floor & seats. That is, the frame bolts to the floor, & the seats bolt to the frame.

Any suggestions please? :)
