castor bush keeps braking

own a GQ patrol with a 3 inch lift and 2 degree castor correction bushes but they keep breaking. my mechanic says its from extreme 4wheel driving has anybody had this problem or know of a fix for it?

Polly bushes often don't last long when you flex them up. Rubber will last longer, and GU ones apparently flex better, but I don't think you can get offset rubber bushes. For a 3 inch lift you could maybe look into some drop boxes rather than offset bushes.

2.5 deg is the biggest rubber castor bush as far as ive been told

caster bushes are also prone to turning in the arm, your other alternative is to run 5.5 degree caster plates it will give abit more caster than needed but as you only have 3" lift drop boxes will do the same but they will hang down under the chassis too

My OME bushes lasted a year with 95% on road driving, and they were split when removed. Now run drop boxes.

Hi there,

Most people dont know but Pedders released 2deg offset RUBBER castor correction bushes, I was told less than 12 months ago.. I got a set and am testing them at present.. The guy said all the tests done suggest about 3 times better flex and a lot longer durability, though no figures given here (make up your own mind) a set of four set me back $170
