Installing winch

Hi i have a 99 jackaroo with an ARB bull not a winch bar i was just wondering is it safe to install the winch inside it or does is need to be reinforced??

depends how "serious" of a use you give your winch, I beleive they are almost identical but a lil re-enforcement cant hurt for piece of mind can it?

Non winch bar uses about 3mm plate for the centre part of the bar

winch bar uses closer to 6mm plate.

Just buy or make a steel winch cage, theres nothing to them
