Which Diff Oil do you use with Air Lockers?

Post by MD4x4 »

Hey,

I am about to service my diffs. The manual for the Patrol says to use 80/90W GL5 diff oil.

Just wondering what brands people use and if any particular oil is better than others?

What experiences have you had, good and bad?

80/90w is front diff only, rear is LS85/140, I run Fuckes Titan 85/140 (not LS) LS is fine in AIR lockers not pro lockers, ARB manuel states 80/90 but diff shop recomends 85/140 n TJM recomends 85/140 for pro lockers.
I have 5 air lockers fitted n 1 pro locker done about 700,000km between 3 Vehicles over 6 years (I still own them all) terrain varried from long highway (20 hours + straight) to hardcore competitions (37" tyres) never had problems with diffs
I run all fuckes lubricants throughout vehicle but diff oils should be similar to one another
hope this helps
