Just wondering whats happening this weekend at Babinda.

Will there be any mud ? :twisted:

Hi All,

YES THIS WEEKEND in BABINDA IS ON!!!

Apologies for being so slack with this one team...
My real job has been interferring BIG time and the event just hasn't been on my radar.

Format will be low key, competitor/nav only on site (no people who just want to spectate - everyone will be running on their own insurance). camping permitted. lower entry fee than the annual event. enter on the day. Have BIG fun!

On Saturday we'll be taking the dozer to the obstacle course. getting ready for a fun Sunday. Everyone will be expected to get involved in marshalling/scoring

so...
spread the word!
everyone who wants to have a go welcome!!!

my navi has to go to cloncurry for work....bugger

so by bring out the dozer thast means we can make the obsticle track harder too :armsup:

BUT DO WE HAVE TO FILL EVERY THING UP WITH MUD? AS THE NEAREST PRESSURE WASH IS CAIRNS AND ITS GONNA BE HARD TO GET THERE SPEICALLY WHEN WE ARE FROM TOWNSVILLE

unlike some posin 80s ive had experience in mud.. deep mud AND MUD FARKS EVERYTHING FROM PINIONSEALS TO TRANSFER CASES :finger:

Yeah Yeah,

And T/ville rock crawling doesn't damage anything !

Scraches
Shreads tyres
Damages rims
Possable breakages
Possable rollovers

Just about zero damage from mud, iv experianced verry little problems from playin in the mud ! :finger:

BTW- you wouldn't even know what mud was. :rofl:

The best was back in Darwin, black swamp mud when we used to go pig shootin. :cool:

Hope so, it should be up & running 2moro with a little luck.
Why you ask ?

Maybe we should knock off early on sun & go for a drive near Cairns (Ross & lock maybe) & have a swim/wash the rigs ect.

BTW- we are thinkin about stayin at the Babinda pub sat night too. :armsup:

the new marked out obsticals were good fun! very tight track for the bigger vehicals ... even with my short tray i couldn't get through with out hittin the markers ... :armsup:

hell even my dogs had fun in the mud! they're buggered .. slept all the way home and today

Well Team thanx for makin it a great one....
May have been hard to tell but I had a hoot!
As it turned out the obstacle course did seem to favour shorter wheel base. I felt sure that the new line on the scissors would have been a long wheelbase obstacle... but I ended up driving it no worries at all. Although the ^ run on the logs definitely suited longer/wider beasties.

I've just finished wahin my zook.... inside and out
was definitely good for a few looks at McSuds

Lookin forward to doin some wheelin down Townsville way sometime soon!

i had a great week end all round and it was awesome to see more new faces and more standard vehicles given it ago EVEN GOT TO SEE A POO BROWN HILUX GET TOTALLY AIRBORNE :armsup:

as for the new OBSTICLE track it was suited to all kinds of vehicles which was great to see BIG ARMS-UP TO MIKE AND GORDO FOR MAKIN THIS HAPPEN AGAIN AND CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE........as for campin ill be doin that again too :armsup:

we had a great night sittin round the camp fire then under the tarps then back round the camp fire :rofl:

(kept on movin to suit the rainy consditions)

drinkin a couple of quite ones

and wathin kev80's bro dance and carry on :armsup:

Yeah it was tricky trying to accelerate and use the clutch with the crutches as well as steer!

Arms up Mike and Gordo!!! :armsup:

You guys put in a lot of effort and we had a top time. Thank you! What a laugh watching John sing and dance around the fire on Saturday night. :rofl:

Never seen a hilux get so airborn before and never seen a middy that you couldn't tell if it was muddy or not! (JAKE AKA-MIDDY MAN) :lol:

We will have to take you Cairns lads on a rock crawling weekend around Tvlle one weekend soon.

Yeah, had trouble keeping on the track but it was all good.

Do you belive i got charged for AIR at the servo when i re-inflated my tyres !!! :shock:
