Just wondering who has hooked up an incab controller for your winch? I tried searching but the list of results was loooong! I am about to install a warn 9500ti and was thinking of doing the incab controls at the same time.
Any help would be appreciated!! ;)

Sure it's simple.
You just need a single pole dual position momentary switch that fails to off in the centre.
The solenoid pack is earthed where it is mounted. You put 12V power to the middle terminal of the switch. Take you power from either an ignition or accessory power so kiddies can't fiddle with it when the keys off!
One switch wire goes to one side of the solenoid pack and the other swithed wire to the other side of course. Dont worry which wire goes to which side as you just mount the switch to go the way you want to switch it.
Hope that makes sense.

If you do that you have effectively coverted your new 5 pin setup to an old 3 pin setup.

Use a double pole, double throw, momentary on-off-on switch.
one side is wired as per Ruffy's post, the other side will switch the earth.

There was so many search results because its been covered so many times before!! ;)

Good to run an isolator switch first so you don't activate it by bumping it.

Yeah, but once this is installed I wouldn't have to dig out the controller from the back and run it through the window. Just get straight on with the job.

I mounted the plug for my hand controller on the end of the dash board. I can plug it in and leave it on top of the dash or run it out the window for out side work. Plus the socket wont get mud in it. My solinodes are also remote mounted in the engine bay.

Just a thought which has occurred to me recently while modifying my winch. If you have in-cab controls (as I do) and also have a socket for a remote (as I do) it might just pay to insert a switch in your dash (which I have not yet done) so that either one or the other control is active not both together.

Otherwise it would be possible to have 2 signals going to your solenoid pack. One from the remote saying wind-in and one from someone fiddling with the in-cab control saying wind-out. I am not sure what the result would be but it would probably generate a lot of smoke! :P
