Officials / Volunteers REGISTER. (SE QLD events/comps)

I have spoken recently to a few other 4x4 Competition / Event organisers. It has been agreed that having a list of people from all around S/E QLD who were keen to volunteer their time , efforts and skills when available to help run these comps/events would be greatly beneficial. I have taken it upon myself to make a start on this list.

If anyone , any club or any social group , business group or family would be interested in nominating for this list please forward your contact details via email to cityview4x4park@hotmail.com or SMS 0424568886. Please also include a short acceptance that your details can be passed on to any event/comp organiser that requests a copy of the list for the purpose of securing volunteers for their events. This may include Rock Crawling Competitions , Winch Style Events , Cityview Trials , Multiple Day 4wding Events , Off road events , and some Club Level 4x4 events.

Please Note; This is not a request for your support or committment to volunteer for an official position at any said event. Simply this is a nomination to be on a list of people who may be asked and be able to make their time available to help out when requested.

Come on , dont all volunteer at once..

Remember this is not just for me . The idea was put to me by Lance from QLD Winch Challenge and May also include events like the Logan Challenge and or Gold Coast 2000 , Rock Crawling and other Off Road Events held in SE QLD. Remember Volunteers get to view the action for free and are much appreciated. From my point of view , even if you get a bummer of a job , you wont be asked to do it for the entire event. By mixing things up , everyone gets a chance to view the action , up close and personal.

This is only a register , not a commitment. You allow your contact details to be available so you can be asked if you want or are available for any upcoming event , you choose.

So stick your hand up so some of us out there can have a drive , maybe someday it will be you thanking the officials after a great event.

I think you'll find most will stick with one event, as most of us like one part of the sport and just have the time to help it when they can. I Stage Manage for QLD Winch Challenge and compete in rock crawling and other comps I can drive my buggy in and run a 4wd club, run a 4wd test track at an expo in my local area and planning on building another comp like Superior AT closer to Brisbane. We are always looking for more people to help at QWC and WE Rock and I think every comp finds it hard to get people to help out because of the pressure involved with it. And that's why we need more people to put their hand up to make it easier for every one.

Oh and I fundraise for Angel Flight as well, so come on Guys and Gals step up and get a front row seat, you will learn so much more about 4wding and the sport of it by being apart of it.
