80 t/d swap 80 pet

Post by mozza »

Gday all , have read as much as I can find on boards about the t/d 80s, currently own a 96 pet/gas 35" coops,3"lift gxl and have found a 96 t/d multivalve with 130 000ks and will probably grab it and swap susp n wheels , ..Drives well and is in top nick but any info on things to check apart from the norm(serv history, tim belt change ect) would be appreciated......can get av tur for free so fuel bill will drop dramatically so more to blow on intercoolers ect..
Cheers all .....

80's

Sounds like an alright truck. It has what seems like very low km's, as long as the service history is there is should be ok.

Check out the thread below, I was looking at the pre multi valve TD so I am not too sure on the differences between them and if any problems.

I am sure the Big End Bearing problem was fixed before the Multi Valve so don't panic about that.
