Jabber on 44's at Tuff Truck

Post by Hekta »

Black '84 (I think) model shorty.
Commodore V6, Auto, 60 series front diff, 1/4 eliptical rear, Large body lift, running 44" TSL's

I watched him go round on a few tracks and looked to do quite well. I believe it was the guy's first event. The wheelbase looked quite short to be running such big tyres, it was pretty stable due to the width, but looked scary on steep hills, especially coming down.

This car makes me hard.

If only it was road legal, I think we'd all have one.

We have common ground. Most of us Mitsu fans wouldn't normally look twice at a Zuki, but any comp truck of this standard is worthy of respect - regardless of the base vehicle.

We're all happy to have found something to enjoy.

Quick hello from Canada and I have truly enjoyed discovering this beast. Far too many times I have seen those little Zookies built all to hell. Now I know ANYTHING is possible.

I have a 1987 Dodge Raider and plan on adding a V8, matching transmission, transfer case and solid axles. 2" body lift 2-3"suspension lift, 33-35" tires and whatever else.

Cheers!

Does anyone here know anything else about this truck or how I can get in touch with the owner? I really would like to know what exactly they used. I can only imagine the amount of fabrication that took place to build this.

If anyone knows where I can find more information about the owner, please email me charles_ufarley at hotmail . com

Thanks

Thanks for all the kind words and support guys, While i'm not the owner of this beast, i was the one hanging off the rope all weekend!

We had heaps of support all weekend at Tuff Truck, and i just hope we kept everyone entertained, There was still heaps of room for improvement but it was our first ever comp, we're not in a club either so we haven't even done any club stuff :!:

In the process of getting a feature in 4wd monthly so the people that didn't get to go to Tuff Truck will be able to get a close look at it.

And Flea if you want to know more you can pm me as i'm always looking around on here. I just don't look in the mitsubishi section too often

Cheers, Pete.
