Well the good ol Pooojero has shat itself again, not that im surprised at all, this time the keyway in the crankshaft has eaten its ass, destroyed the pulley and possibly mowed the shaft, it was getting dark i couldnt see no more.
So what do you all reckon i should do?
1. Throw engine over neighbours fence
2. Bash Mitsu dealer with crankshaft for not carrying out recall correctly
3. Buy import engine
4. Rebuild engine
5. Buy crate motor..not really option too exy
Thoughts??? Suggestions???

What to do with Engine?

You are in the same predicament I was a few months ago. I ended up finding a 30000km old 6G72 (3L V6), non import, at the local wreckers and did not even try to rebuild the old one. After fitting with new clutch, IDLER ARM (shock), belts, oils etc. I chewed up $2300. Mind you that was not for an exchange engine. I onsold the tired one for $900. I saw in 4x4 trader that there was a dude in brisbane here selling import donks for $1500 inc 90 day warranty. I used my car heaps so this was the easiest way to keep it on the road with only one night of stuffing around.

Any chance of these details?
Most importers want $2500 for an engine thieving pricks.
Im not fussed if it sits there for a while, i have other cars to drive although got defected this morning for too low
I just found out that the dealer who did the recall on my car used the original crank bolt again instead of replacing it with the shorter version that is required for the recall. Waiting to see whether they are going to replace the pulley free of charge or not.
I can rebuild it myself etc and my mate owns an engine reconditioners but i dont have time for that kind of shit so a replacement engine would be great if they were priced reasonably, i.e. under $2k
