Does any body know the ratios in a C4 and T700 autos plus the length from bell housing to tail housing.

The C4 seams shorter and would be a better fit in a SWB rig which is trail only not street driven?

You're lucky, I just happen to have pulled the C4 out of my Mustang, so I can fit the new one next week.

Measured on the angle, from the top of the bell, to the tip of the extension housing, it is 79cm.
Measured with a straight edge it is 75cm.

I had a C4 in my Dragster, which had a shortened extension housing, saving about 20cm's.
If you were to build an adaptor to fit it to a married transfer case, it would be a similar length.
Making an adaptor should not be too difficult, as long as you were planning on stripping the auto anyway, so you could fit the new shortened and splined to suit your transfer shaft.

As it is a trail rig, you don't need the speedo gears, as most people remove the governor in high HP applications anyway, and that is all that is in the extension housing.

Basicly a flat plate of alloy, maybe 30mm thick, bolted to the front of the t'fer, and bolted to the back of the auto, with a seal for the shaft.
Or 2 10mm plates, joined with a 10cm lenght of thickwall tube, so you can get the bolts in, if the bolt patterns are too similar.
