Are you making your own or buying some off the shelf ones? You can expect a ride height lift equal to half the extension. ie. 2 inch longer shackle should equate to 1 inch lift. You will find that castor will probably be a problem if going 2 or more inches longer than standard shackles. Usually if you buy off the shelf shackles you can buy wedges to suit those shackles but if you are making your own, get an alignment done once the shackles are in and find out exactly how far your castor is out. Then buy wedges to suit. Cant really see anything else you need to fit them other than new bushes if needed.

im looking at buying the superior engineering shackles. ive got a 2inch suspension lift aswell so id say adding longer shackles would throw the angles out now. wont need new bushes the suspension is all new withinj the last 6mths so that side of things shoukld be fine.

ok, so when you go to order the shackles from Superior it will probably be a good idea to ask for castor correction wedges to suit the shackles you are buying. They should know how many degree's the wedges should be for their shackles.

Nope, might have to wait for some hilux gurus to chime in. Wouldnt hurt to do a search in the meantime tho.

you might need dropdown steering arm and a adjustable torque rod and get the ball on the steering arm put on top so the steering arm can bolt up
unless you have x over steering

check out superior engineering, he actually used the products he sells on his car first. havent had any problems with his stuff at all. ive heard of him replacing or reimbursing without too much hassle (with the return of the product of coarse). so give them a bell and ask away

Torsion bars on a solid axle hilux, better get some blinker fuid while you are there
I had 2" extended shackles all round on mine without and major dramas, I had to adjust the steering wheel so it sat straight on the column again. I tore the torque rod bracket off my diff because of the lift difference so that will need extending aswell.

i also have a 4" lift with superior torque rod, dropped drag link, caster wedges and chrome moly stering arm. The guys there are really good to deal with and are cheaper than snake racing stuff. Any questions give them a ring they will be happy to help you out and give you advice on what to do and get. ph 0738896778 there in brisbane.
By the way its 3 degree wedges for your truck but superior will tell you that....

you may need drive shaft spacers, longer shocks, longer brake lines and atleast 3* caster wedge + the bolt that hold the spring together as that will need to be longer (superior plates are 10M thick at one end so you might need longer u bolts also).
we just did this to evil666's lux not that long ago and thats all the parts he needed and he also had 2" lift springs before so that's every thing for a four inch lift.

keep in mind you will only need castor correction wedges in the front as ext shackles in the reasr actually improve pinion angel...
