Question on tyre sizes and rim sizes
Just wanting to find out if any of you are running 12.5 inch tyres on 7 inch rims.
About to go from 31x 10.5 mt/rs to 33s but i only got my rims a few months ago and dont want to have to buy new rims as well.
There was a couple of articles in the last few 4WD Monthlys and in the stats of the vehicles guys were running 12.5s on 7 inch rims.
Spoke to my tyre dealer mate and he said i could do it but they might bag a little.
What do you guys reckon?
Just dont want to buy the new tyres and have them blow out or fcuk up on me.

I reckon for $60 a pop you should get some 8in wagon wheels, i think you won't have any troubles that way. also it should make the footprint wider with extra stability.
as grimbo said though.. there is info on this around here.
buddha wrote:im actually on wagon wheels now and at $90 for 7 inch ones and $120 for 8 inch ones ,dont really need to spend the extra.
WTF!?!?! $90 for 15"x7"s is fuggin outrageous!!!!!!!
You shouldn't be payin anymore than $55-60 for 15"x8"s.
Your coight must have been ringin after that purchase ...

5 on 5.5" ROH 15x8's for a F100 (same pcd as a Jeep/Sportage/Zook) should only be in the range of $80 each (made of thicker material than usual). The 15X7 has a bacspace of 104 mm (edge of rim to WMS), 15X8 I would imagine the same or a bit more.
George Carlin, an American Comedian said; "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise that half of them are stupider than that".
