I'm going to give it a crack in my new car if I can fit it in, it goes higher than a panhard rod at the pivot point, which is where my spare is, if it will go I will do it as it keeps the diff central under the car.

Joel, give me a bell if you want to make the watts link out of Chrome/Moly tubing. I think you've been to my place of work once before, it's D&F Racing Products next door to Mike at Autogas Connections (also with DTS 4x4 dyno) in Carrum Downs.PGS 4WD wrote:I'm going to give it a crack in my new car if I can fit it in, it goes higher than a panhard rod at the pivot point, which is where my spare is, if it will go I will do it as it keeps the diff central under the car.

Thanks for the offer Andrew, I have been in next door. We're pretty well sorted with all the gear at work, plasma, TIG, MIG, Benders, folders, rollers, I'll have a crack.
Just a matter of getting the length right of the pivot such that it dosent restrict travel, it can pop up into the upturned spare I run under the tray on the car I'm building, I'm pretty sure i can put the pivot point about the top of the diff pumpkin and utilize the origional Pan hard Mounts, I figure that way too should something fail in the pivot, I can piss off the pivot and Put in a Pan Hard rod again. I like things I can use that are standard as you dont get caught out for parts as easily.
I've looked a t A frames and alike and I'd loose too much fuel capacity, as I've made a mid mount fuel tank, or have to move a lot of weight up higher, something I'm trying to avoid for stability.
Compromises always compromises.
