hey guys, lookin at buyin a disco, have always beena V8 person, with the old man ownin several V8 rangies, and headed that way with a disco, but wonderin how the diesles go compared to them.. i will be usin the car for a daily driver and for camping trips, with the odd fouby trips thrown in.. also for jobs like gettin fire wood and tip runs..will be gettin a manual if i can, and i only have around 5000 to spend, so it will be a early 90s mod.. i especially like the 3 doors...

I've seen some good examples for that sort of brass. 94-95 model V8 with a 5 speed box I've seen for $5-6K in good condition. Less than perfect ones or high kilometer examples are cheaper but buyer beware.
Tdi's in that price range are a gamble. Probably be examples with 300+K and less than perfect, but sometimes you can strike it lucky

yeah cheers fellas, i was pretty keen on a V8 anyways, seen a coup[le o nice ones on carsales, was thinkin of takin it to rangie spares in bundoora for a check up when i find a good one... does anyone know if they are happy to do vehicle inspections??
