head bolt tightening sequence for a L28 engine

can anybody tell me where to find a diagram or explain to me the order in which to do up the head bolts on a L28 from a MQ patrol

i just whiped this up in paint, its a copy of the diagram in the nissan 160/mq service manual.

it doesnt say where no:1 starts but when i did mine, i started at the front.

start from the middle and work to the edges. not from front to back or back to front.
just go
14 10 6 1 3 7 11
. 12 8 4 2 5 9 13

and so on.

:? mine says that for the p40, and this is from a proper nissan publication, nissan patrol 160 & 61, publication No: SM4E-0160G0 is that the same as yours? i might just have a bad copy.

Both my manuals are the same P/N as yours. the drawing for the P40 has the same tightening sequence as the L28, just that No 1 starts at the top.

Weird they are different.
