Was sitting around thinking, "iv done a few sets now, i wonder if the genuine boots are much better? i think i remember frank saying something along those lines"
so with this thought roaming my brain, i head off to Mitsu Parts.
"Please sir, id like two genuine CV Boots." said dean.
"no probs, thatll be $306.40 thank you kind sir", said the man.
"wowsers", said dean, "thats a lot of kevin for some rubber. What is the tradepersons price on that item?"
"$105.23 ea, making it $210.46."
"thank you kind sir", said dean, "but that is far too much moneys for some rubber boots, i shall see you later, or probably not with those kind of prices. Thank you, good day sir."
And so on that note, dean waltzed down the street to the local cv/driveshaft man, spoke with peter for some time, discussed options, less kinks in boots, more kinks in boots, elasticity, compounds, and ended up walking out with a part number of a cv boot for a daewoo that will fit, but has fewer kinks in the boot. For a total sum of $0 (zero), dean thought this to be a much better avenue than genuine, and Peter said to let him know how they go, and if not, well try something else.
Thank god for the local bloke
