What Size Shocks

Hey Guy can anyone help me with what size shocks i need to run in my 85 hilux it has 2inch spring & 2inch shackles and i want to run the right size shocks to get the maximin flex and will get brake lines to suit

Hey guys, anyone no anything?? Ive got the brakelines, and have the same setup as above.. just desiding on what length rs 5000's to fit to the lux. Cheers guys

take your shocks out then flex up your truck and measure the distance.

Remember to factor in the compressed length too... you may need to extend ur bump stops to stop the shock bottoming out... or If you want to, get shock hoops so you can go even longer shocks.... ;)

krf_bb - I don't think this is very useful tech. Which year F100? front? rear? how's the valving? did you need bumpstop spacers? In the front or rear of a Hilux? What brand shock did you use?

And you can't just bolt a longer shock in - they are longer compressed too, so you won't get much gain without moving the top mount up or spacing the bumpstop down, or both.

Measure carefully, and remember you need 1" of "spare" compression when measured from daylight as the bumpstops will compress heavily in a hard hit - you don't want to bust the mounts.
