Giantracing's GQ??

Post by GU BUG »

I seen a pic of it up here a month or so ago of his orange GQ (twin turbo v8) & wanted to have a look @ the way he's finished the snorkel where it sits inside the quarter :?.

Anyone got any pics of it????

I want to put a stainless snorkel on mine but need to cover the screw holes & I remember the GQ had a stainless plate that sat over the snorkel & hid the hole where the snorkel sits inside the quarter.....

Last time I saw it that was removed as under it there were paterned holes in the bonnet. To aid in heat dispersion I suspect!
Cheers.

Seeming its stainless you could get some studs tig'd on & then nut it form the inside & you wouldn't see the bolts ;)

God I'm vague sometimes

Mine has a standard snorkel on it & I want to put a stainless snorkel on it so the old holes will have to be covered where the Nissan snorkel was.

Maybe now people have a better understanding as to what I want
