kill switch battery isolater

Post by The Big Green Meany »

Ok any one know how to wire one of these up on a 4.2 lt turbo deisel patrol gq

It has to kill the power to the complete car.....At the moment I have a isolation switch that only isolates the earths from the battery

Any help would be appreciated.

the only way is to break the battery positive and the ignition power to the injector pump, that will shut down the motor n kill power. Probly break it from batery pos so you have the alt wire still running to the battery before the isolator but everything else after, this should kill engine as the alt will not keep the fuel solinoid open

on my comp truck, i used a continuous duty solenoid, rated a 300Amps,

i moved evrything from my battry terminal to one side of the solenoid, and a main feed to the other side, i then took one wire from the battery positive, into the cab for the switch, then to the solenoid, then earthed the solenoid,

remember, to leave the alt charge wire direct on the battery terminal, as my alt kept my carby petrol running,

and on a diesel, id say it will keep you injector pump shutoff valve open, and truck running,
