Just take a tape measure and measure how long the one that is in there now is and make the new one as close as possible.
You are driving it now so it cant be too bad.

put a mark in the centre of each tyre, on the tread. Put the marks to the front and measure, spin them to the back and measure. You should make it about 1/8 of an inch shorter on the back side measurement.

Ok put it on - drives better than it did before - i did like what mick said at the end almost - rang a mob and they said make it even front to back of tyre

it is within 2mm - drives 95% right - will get it professionaly aligned after christmas

ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT THE TIE ROD - IT IS THE BOMB :onfire:

i am sure snafu will agree to this - they come unpainted - yesterday we gave it to coats of etch primer - sanding it between coats - and 2 coats of left over enamel from when we painted the ute - looks real good  8) 8)

Cool im using the 35mm one with 80series TRE. At XRCC i must have pushed the link all the way to the diff because there is a decent mark on the housing and some good marks on the link but have checked it with a straight edge and it is straight as a die 8)
All the other strengthened ones i have tried to make have never worked.

My 35mm one was (dont quote me on this im not positive) $195. They are 4130 chro-mo and are available from Richard at 4x4 Engineering.

I think the 30mm is $155.

I was paying $120 each for stock 80series ones second hand before.

What we paid : -

30mm $180 + gst
