A month ago i would have said they are one of the strongest around. But in the past 4 weeks i have seen 4 break output shafts

Bjs rig broke the first one basicaly the first time we drove it off road. This may have been due to binding.
His second one was however not due to the tailshaft binding. It was a second hand output however and it could have been fatigued.

Adrian(POS) broke his with a stock 2ltr and dual cases. But this was after a couple of years of abuse and also a very heavy rear tailshft hanging off it.

Then while i was at Woodpecker Paul Pissani also snapped one in his Commo V6 powered zook.

So now im realy not sure how strong these are.

I know u can get fine spline shafts for them,, but im not keen
to spend money on gears or dual cases if it wont hold together

Any other options for a hilux with t700 in it, nissans T cases are way to
big n heavy + to long for my 102inch wheelbase ????

They allready have Fine Spline shafts in them. Its not the spline that fails it is in a necked down section before the spline. A heavy duty output shaft is available from allpro in the US but its big $$$.

Hi,
Have you spoken to Mark Hardman at Hardmen Bros in Dingley Vic?
I believe he can make most any part you need to beef up shafts and gears.
