Hey Guys,
1994 Vitara LWB.
Just got my first 4x4 and the fuel tank filler won't open(well sort of). I can get it open now as I forced it open and have bent the arm so it can now be open by pushing it. Obviously this is not the correct way!
The lever inside the car works fine, it pulls the little lug out of the way.
The problem is that there is no mechanism to push the tank open. Do the Vitara's have a spring somewhere to pop it open? On my other car, it has a bit of metal on the body of the car, which the arm attached to the cover touches and because of the shape, creates a spring effect when the lever in the car is pulled.
Any chance someone could take a photo of their's so I can work out what mine is missing?
Cheers
Chris
