Howdy people,

Just wondering if anyone has ever driven to the big 'ol rock before from Sydney and what your views are on the following.

I'm looking at doing it in the Feroza with 3 people and a trailer. Would it be too difficult a trip for the little blighter 1.6L????

Also concerned should I need any parts whilst out there... parts are difficult enought to get in Sydney let alone out there.

Was also contemplating buying a GQ Patrol SWB for the trip.

What do you guys think???? I wouldn't worry too much but my wife is coming along and so is her 69 yo dad... If it was just me and a mate... no worries.

Cheers

It's possible, but I wouldn't wanna be sitting in the back of a SWB !!
There's not much difference between sitting in the back of a SWB Patrol to sitting in the back of a Feroza !!

Make sure you go with another vehicle...not alone !!

would be a bit squishy for three people? The heat would kill ya's.

But, a Feroza would do a trip like that no probs.

Spares - everything you can think of, and then some. Belts, Filters, fluids, wheel bearings, grease...

Thanks for that fellas.

I think I might just bite the bullet and but the trip off until 05 when I will be able to buy a LWB GQ and add all the goodies.
