Is this worth it??
Never mind the power windows..... dude it HAS AN AUTO IN IT
other than lockers, and auto is the best thing increase in off road ability you could do.
It might not be worth much more than 3K fixed up
So I would swap the auto, PS and what ever gadgets you wanted, and part the rest out.

That's the one that reached $2100 on ebay. As Steve said I'd look at swapping in the auto and the other bits you want then part the rest out. I might even be interested in the hard top depending on the $$. Those autos ran 4.625 diffs so with your 5.125's you'd be pretty sweet with 30 or 31's you're looking at running.

And yes, once you have pulled everything you want out of it advertise the rest of the car, either as a whole or in parts. You will get an auto, PS, etc for not very much money.Gwagensteve wrote: It might not be worth much more than 3K fixed up

Of course, this all depends on your mechanical ability. Paying someone to do this work would make it dearer than just selling up all your stuff and buying an auto vitara JLX.

98 Vitara 2dr Soft Top
If all you want is the PS and aircon, its not worth breaking a car over. Buy it, fix it sell it as a whole car and buy the parts you want from a wrecker.
Be very careful about the easily fixed thing though - someone is selling it for a reason.
If it not worth repairing for someone else or within the trade, then it's not worth $2300. Carby vitaras are pretty cheap now.
