mq headlight not working

mq headlight not working

hey guys my MQ shorts headlights are not working all the sudden but the parkers stilll do. i have checked for power at the light socket and there is none, i have replaced the combo switch and still noting. i replaced that because if i short the wires the connect to it the headlights work. any ideas would be greatly appreciated cheers

ok i have filed the contacts down and messed around with them and still no go. would it mean u need to replace the combo switch because if i short circuit accross the power terminal and the high ot low beam terminal they work every time??????

Have you checked that the new combo switch has continuity through it when switched on to each light setting?

the combo switches play up a bit, give it a clean out

I had drama's with my mq headlight's, I found there is a relay in the circuit up on the inner guard that caused all my grieve. I spent many hours messing around with the headlight switch before I found it.
