Feroza 130HP
I have had page in favorites, but i lost it (computer crashes), and now i do not find it any more.
There was "know how" about upgrading F300's computer from 95HP to 130HP.

IMO - not practical.
As for a computer change to get that power with out $$$$ being spent
elsewhere - NO WAY.
Turbo or Supercharged - a different story.
Theres an HD engined Charade around that has 300+ kW AT THE WHEELS
( have the magazine articel somewhere ) but take out a second morgage
and its not an ideal 4WD engine.

My old Applause had 100fwhp. That required air filter, extractors, exhaust, cam and after-market computer. Wasn't cheap, for not much gain... If I did it again, I'd go straight for a super or turbo charger.

I think you will get 130hp with the ebay chip, two hicolnes, and mothballs in the fuel tank.
If you can't afford two hiclones, just fot one, but you will only get 117hp.
I wish I could find a Brock energy polarizer, than I would make some big power
Steve.
PS I heard about a feroza making 230KW@ wheels but I believe it put a leg out of bed, or two

Feroza with 177PS - daihatsu detomaso and turbocharger. That feroza was on ElChott rally in 2004 or 2005.Gwagensteve wrote:I think you will get 130hp with the ebay chip, two hicolnes, and mothballs in the fuel tank.

177ps = 131kw (roughly)
that sounds like pretty sensible power for a drivable car.
It's a long way from 300PS at the rear wheels though
Steve.

Hey Steve - we could build our own polarizers.....
20 Cents worth of fuel line and a couple of magnets - way within out tech
abities. It also would double as a paperweight and/or alien detector.
And back to engines - a thing to seriously consider before modifing is
not just how much power you want, but how drivable it will be.
With a fixed engine capacity the more peak power you make the narrower
the useable torque range will be - modern electronics can do miracles
but even the most switched on HD or HC ECU was dumb, and the engine
isnt very sophistaced by todays standards.
In the torque VS peak power debate give me torque every time.

Noooo that's only the economy version. If you want the HP boosting version you have to put it in a red box with lightning printed on it. Makes way more power.MightyMouse wrote:Hey Steve - we could build our own polarizers.....

I sent an email to Hiclone asking what would happen if I put a hiclone in the exhaust.... whether I would get full sick turbo spool noise and how much more HP, but I haven't got an answer.
(only joking... but go on someone has to)
