RTC and particularily HD oned mask issues in the front end, you are best to sort any issues that are leading you to getting one and ensuring the dampner on there is not shot
also as you say they do add stress to the box as there is always a spring forcing it back into the centre, the heavier the spring the more work the steering box has to do
plenty of people will dissagree however

Shocks normally have different valving for compression and rebound were a steering dampener has both the same.adrenalized wrote:whats your thoughts on using the current dampener plus using a shock absorber as i have 4 spare pro comp 2 long +2 short shafts....but are the compression/rebound ratios to strong or weak cheers
Also most shocks wont work properly on there side.

Got rid of mine too. They are a waste of money as its better now with a normal damper that cost $100 than it was with the $350 Toughdog one.
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know and I don't care.

Your King Pin (knuckle joints) should draw a line to the exact centre of your tyre where it hits the ground. Hitting something with one wheel shouldn't effect steering. If it is, your offset is wrong and the tyre has more on the inside or outside of the pivot point making it pull. Sometimes it has to be wrong to allow the tyres to fit - but that's why it feels bad to drive.
