Auto GQ to Manual

Post by mortaygo »

I have an Auto TI GQ 4.2 diesel with aftermarket Turbo. I would like to convert it to a Manual. I don't have the technical ability to do the job and it is our only car so having it off the road for to long is not an option. Any thoughts on how much to swap it over?

Is there anyone interested in doing the swap from thier car to mine. I am prepared to pay some cash for the work.

The Auto is in good condtion

I am in Brisbane.

I've got an auto turbo diesel GQ and it goes fantastic.

There are mods that can be done to the valve body that increases the oil pressure and you get much better, and faster shifts.

you will find many people willing to swap you for the auto.. why do you want to change?? Auto is so much better offroad and easily better on road.

Do you know someone who has a manual? If so, see if they will let your wife have a test drive in a manual, maybe then she might like the auto. This might be a cheaper alternative.
My GQ is an auto and runs great ( except for the 4WL problem).
