front main oil seal v6

What is involved in changing the front main oil seal. I am a mechanically challenged female and do not want to conned when getting the job done. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's a pretty big job. Radiator out, timing cover, belts and timing belt off. The balancer can sometimes be a bitch to remove and you may need a puller to remove the crank gear to get at the seal. I'm pressuming its a 3lt but is similar for both varients of the 3.5lt.

Mechanics work off a times guide, ie: the maximum hours that they can charge for certain jobs. For a NH Pajero with A/C the allowed time is 4.3 hours to change the timing case oil seal. Most mechanic I know charge anywhere from approx $65 -$100 per hour. So it will give you a guide as to how much the labour component will cost you.
