Rev limiter?

Post by Phreaq »

Hey there I was just wondering if the rodeos have a rev limiter? I have the 02 model 3.0L intercooled turbo diesel and put my foot flat to the floor to see how it would go and it just went to abou 4150 revs and didnt go any higher. I was also thinking it could be becaus eI took the muffler off but doubt it. Just interested in knowing thanks

Thats how a diesel works. They dont call it a limiter, its called a gonvenor. Basically it wont allow any increase in fuel flow when the motor reaches its redline, so it just holds that revs smoothly. Nothing to do with the muffler
