I have broken my share of soft top clips.

The easiest place to get replacement ones are through your nearest dealer. They usually can get them in stock in a day or two. They cost slightly more than from supercheap or equivalent, but they are better quality and you know they are going to fit correctly (being genuine replacement parts).

Give them a ring, and have your VIN# on hand so they can get the exact part for your soft top (some clips changed from year to year).

Comon mate, that's not a tech post from outers - what he meant to say -

"You need to go a wrecker and get the boot latch from a 1973 mazda mazda RX4 coupe, but only brown ones built from april-june, turn it around, punch out the pin and fit a longer one, then get a 6.35mm wide cable tie, wrap it twice around the spigot on the LHS, tekscew it in place, paint it black, rivet a cover plate on wihich you have to get form the alternator of a 302 XE falcon and its all done. This will work heaps better than the supercheap auto ones.

I heard that dealers want to know your vin before ordering anything and they want an arm and a leg for anything and what do dealers know anyway"

Go straight to the top of the class for just saying GO TO THE DEALER WITH YOUR VIN #
