But have also heard the TB45 auto has the biggest of the patrol torque converters.
I am guessing good thing. Cos I have heard this is what Krimnal and Birdy have in there turbo petrols. I think this is correct. Just conversations I have over heard while around people with such things.bogged wrote:kewl.. the TConverter - is that a good thing or bad being bigger?turps wrote:I thought they where the same auto between TD42 and TB42,45. mmmm hard deciion. I would go for a late GU4.5petrol auto. Just to confirm maybe give Ontrack in kielor a ring. Or try extreme autos.bogged wrote:after i pay off the theving lawyers, I'll have to do it... but which one to go with, as clutch is nearly ***** now :(turps wrote:I am guessing good thing. I know, but search came up with 239048203948 threads.. after 2 pages I couldnt find it :(weeman wrote:Actually has been discussed on here before......
I've called 3 auto places, and some of the conversion prices they are quoting I could buy another car.Go and see kewish auto's they did, Krim and kill bill's they know what there on about and would advise on the best auto to suit your application.
my quotes were more, but I kept manual etc.weeman wrote:well i think from memory the qoutes were abour 4-5k with the auto supplied however was rebuilt and torque convertors were changed...
kewl will tomorrow.. ye did a night run with the Kewish blokesPGS 4WD wrote:I second weeman, call Kewish, speak to Dave or Paul, they've built a number of them with success. They did Henry(pro comp)'s that I turboed and EFI'd and it works great.
