ARB Airlocker Switch Globe.

Post by Bitsamissin »

I know someone posted a question about the globe blowing in an ARB airlocker switch and can the globe be replaced.
No it can't apparently it is a sealed unit so you will have to buy another one.
I know Carling Switches who make these supply them with LED globes as opposed to the filament globes which generate a lot of heat resulting in the rocker switch cracking and falling off.
ARB are waiting for all their stocks of the old switches (filament globes) to run out before ordering a new batch with the LED globes.
In the meantime does anyone know where you can buy the LED Carling Switches from ?
There must be a distributer here somehwere ?
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"

They cetainly do get hot. I have mine on the centre console in the 80 and they get that hot you can't hold your finger over the light.

There is a distributor in WA:

http://www.amelec.com.au/contact.html

Get in touch with them, they may have someone on the eastern seaboard who stocks them, or maybe go throught carlington direct?
Cheers,
Dan.
