Hi guys,
just wondering if anybody could offer some advice and or comments regarding a 94 to 96 V8 Discovery.
I am mainly interested if there are any inherent prroblems etc and what to watch out for when buying one.
Also, can somebody offer some fuel figures for say an unladen V8 on a highway trip and also in city driving. Would be interested in knowing what sort of mileage the V8s get.
Thanks in advance.

sticky valve guides and blown head gaskets can be a problem after around 200,000 klm

mileage is around 4-7 klm/litre

the ES model is the pick of the bunch if you want all the extras
like leater seats, seven seater and electric everthing.

like all rovers the electrics can a problem.

Sticky Valves and exesive cabon build up in the heads I can attst to that just had to remove the heads to do mine at 153000 klms, and despite the quick remedies to do clean it they dont work for long, its defiantley a heads off job , thats on the 3.9 v8.
I ve got an ES got the lot, electric leather seats twin electric roofs windows the lot, and love it. Watch out for rust aound the Alpine glass though!!
