Looked at a surf today for brother in law and got a few questions.
It looked like it had dual batteries factory however there is no isolator inbetween the two? is this right?
it had a button that had hard/soft on it and a little pic of a shockie, how does it adjust the suspension?
should the button on the 4WD shifter make it in H4 then move it forward for L4
Why oh why did Toyota make a blood red interior for a vehicle that is painted red?????????? seems like a perfect serial killers car
Other than that they are a nice car to drive but a bit sluggish down low

** this is factory and it is normal for no isolator switch

** yes it does adjust the shocks from a hard and sost setting (hard onroad soft offroad)
should the button on the 4WD shifter make it in H4 then move it forward for L4
** yes that is correct

** cause they're bloody idiots

** get a bleed valve and adjust it to 10lb (they're about 6lb standard) and get a 2 3/4" exhaust with a strait through muffler and you will notice a big difference in power and feul economy (at least i did when i did mine)

i think the dual batteries came with the winter pack so it may have other goodies like fuel heaters.
EGR and butterfly mods are the first thing to do. while your doing that check the inlet manifold and see how much crud is built up in it.
which model/engine one did you have a look at ?
