Is it possible to fit 35" or 36" tyres to a 60 series without going SOA?

What would need to be done?

yes, there are a few blokes on here who are running 36" pedes.
id say 2 inch suspension, 2 inch body lift should clear 35's. might have a little bit of scrubbing. ive never done it personally but there are a heap of people who have done and are happy with it. try a search for more info.

Ive got 32's on sagged stock suspension, no other lift, and I have zero scrubbing, so with the mentioned 2" body and spring lifts, 35's should fit.

ya can buy 4 inch springs from playtime 4x4 in sunbury, and of set rims. and they think they wont rub and will clear 35s. am told this is the set up hobzee runs(bloke that helped start pro comp 4wd) and i know of a fella that goes buy the name mouse with a lgreen 60 that runs them aswell. i was going to get them for my 60, but had to turf the truck.

I run 35's on my 60 with standard 2" spring lift (no body lift), a little spacing on the bump stops and a fair bit of guard cutting. Looks good, drives well and leaves most bits factory. Upgraded the brakes and gears to suit also. A little more offset on the wheels helps.

Pics? How did you modify the brakes?

I've sent some pics to someone recently - I'll try to find them again, pm me yor email address.
Brakes - do a search... V6 4runner calipers, 78series pads(?? I think - would have to confirm) with a little bit grinded off and slotted rotors. Pulls up great now! And just make sure the rear drums are in good working order. They have a massive surface area so as long as they aren't full of mud/water they stop fine.
edit: forgot to say - also used the early 80 series 1"bore master and booster. bolt pattern was the same - bolted right up to the firewall in the same spot. Pedal feels great!
