Ok i have searched and found some info but i would like to clarify what i have come up with for my specific needs, it seems a couple of options are available.
Due to the diffs im using ill need to run a cruiser transfer or any other transfer that has right hand drop front and rear. I want to run an auto tranny, so i have boiled it down to 2 options:
1uz-fe - A341e - custom adaptor - 80s transfer (H2fa)
1uz-fe - A440f - 80s transfer (H2fa)
I am aware that the lexus ECU requires the ECT on the A341e. Is it possible to modify the loom/ECU to run the A440f? If so what is required? Is the A442 a better option?
Im figuring option 2 is going to be the cheapest, with the added bonus of a shorter powertrain.
Does the A440f bolt up to the 1uz, or is a 100s bellhousing required?
Is there a cheaper (ie adaptorless) way of mating the H2fa to the A341e?
Gday
a442f to 1uz will require a bell from a early gxv100. The 442 will outlast a 341 in a heavy cruiser. 341 came out in american 80's behind 1fzfe after 95...so it is possible to bolt a 80 transfer to a 341 somehow... best option however would be to run the 442 using early pre 95 80 series gearbox ect as they had a stand alone computer, and run an early crown 1uzfe computer, as it doesnt incorperate the ect but are seperate as in the pre 95 ect on the 80.
The other option is to simply buy a aftermarket computer for the motor...
The cruiser auto is a big sucker.... are you thinking of putting it in hilux? PM me if you are looking for one of these though.
I guess the pefect option would be the 5 spd auto from 100s cruiser if you can find one.
thanks for the info Andrew i was hoping youd reply
hmm so the 442 is quite a bit larger than the 341? is there anywhere on the web to get specs of all the cruiser autos? i cant seem to find anything It will be going into a gen 2 lux so compact is good, i figure the 341 will hold up well its just getting a cruiser tcase attached to it thats my main dillema. If its just a matter of fabbing a plate up i might just stick with the 341...

5 spd auto sounds exy...
Get an lj71 or lj78 prado or bundera (or whatever you call them over there) with the auto attached. You can bolt the 1uz up with just swapping the bellhousing and using 1uz flex plate and torque converter, or you can swap the output shaft from the lj auto to the lexus auto. The transfer case is the same as a split case 40/60/70 seris cruiser case so is offset. Unfortunately it has vaccum 4wd, but I have got a spare 40 series transfer, and am swapping the 4wd activation lever and putting the PTO gear in the bundera transfer (as they dont come with one and just have a spacer on the shaft).

The early A442f in the diesel does not run a computer. They are a stand alone unit. These are the ones wholesale auto's buy and send them as conversion kits to overseas military ie UK. he said all the vehicles over there r auto's and they r a strong box. I am only going on what rod from wholesale said, but looking at the box, there are not wires coming out of it. The electronic has 4-5 wires. The hydraulic has none or 2 if it came out of a sahara that had cruise control.
Well it seems i need to use the a341e, i want to run the stock ECU, so im left with the option of mating a cruiser transfer or another one thats right hand offset front and rear. Anyone have any ideas or know of an adaptor to mate the transfer case?
Other option is to fork out and retube the rear housing, customs axles etc so its centred and use dual lux transfers, but that sounds expensive
