Cruise Control
Cruise Control
There is a little knob on the right hand side of the steering wheel in my Gq. I think its suppose to be cruise control. I also had it in the previous MK that i had. How practical is this knob and whats the best way to operate it?
89 gq dx. bone stock --- for now.
On a petrol GQ its good for 100km/h on a desiel GQ its good for about 80-85km/h.nastytroll wrote:It is actualy a Hand trottle or Idle up, used for keeping the Idle up for slow speed rough terrain, the older MQ/MK had full travel on the accelerator peddel, the GQ is limmited to about 1600rpm with a crimped on ring. I dont remember if the GU has one, but I would assume it did.
But its not really a good thing to use on road as a cruise control. As it dosent disconnect when the breaks are hit.

Could be used for that. But its on every Diesel GQ and a similar thing on the petrols. Its just a hand throttle. Used for increseing idle speed.mattstar wrote:I thought it would have been for a pto whinch?
With my PTO if I pulled the lever out all the way and let it winch the PTO shaft would vibrate to death.
